Employer review platforms shape candidate perception before you ever talk to them. Here's what's actually manageable versus what isn't.
Employer review platforms (Glassdoor-type sites) shape how candidates perceive you before a recruiter ever speaks to them. Tools in this category mostly help you manage your response to reviews, not erase or prevent them.
You generally cannot remove genuine negative reviews, and platforms are (correctly) resistant to manipulation attempts. Tools that promise to "fix" your rating through anything other than transparency and genuine improvement are a red flag, not a real solution.
Treat review platforms as a real, if imperfect, signal of internal culture problems rather than purely a PR issue to manage around. The most effective long-term "tool" is addressing what reviews are actually describing.
